'Weak, classless, disgrace' - why Gary Neville blasted the Glazer family after Man United loss to West Ham

Manchester United slumped to another Premier League away defeat on Sunday as they lost 1-0 to West Ham United.

David de Gea's error allowed Said Benrahma's shot to squirm into the net for what proved to be the winner at the London Stadium. The three points all but secured the Hammers' top-flight survival but it leaves United with plenty of work to do in the race for the top four with Liverpool only a point behind in fifth, albeit having played a game more.

United's display in the capital was poor and means they have won just one of their last six league away games. The prospect of missing out on the Champions League could also impact matters off the field with the prolonged takeover at Old Trafford still ongoing.

And former United defender Gary Neville took to social media to take a swipe at the Glazer family for their lack of decision-making on selling the club having invited bidders last November. Neville was far from impressed with Erik ten Hag's side's showing in London but blasted the current owners for their malaise ahead of a pivotal few weeks for the club.

"United so poor in this game," he said. "Erik ten Hag seeing more of the players in these situations is a positive. Allows him to sort out who he wants on the bus.

"The real disgrace are the Glazers. Are they waiting for the last game at OT to pass??? It would be typical of them. Weak and shirking accountability and responsibility to the end!

"Members of staff on and off the pitch are in an uncertain position waiting for new owners! Let alone recruitment and what budget there is going to be! This should have been done! Classless to the end!"
