'We won't be negative' - Neil Cox insists Notts County will gun for glory at Solihull

Neil Cox believes Notts County can expect a more open game when they face Solihull Moors tomorrow afternoon.

The two sides served up a drab goalless encounter earlier in the season in which Tim Flowers’ side drew groans for showing a lack of ambition.

Since then, Solihull have steadily climbed up the table and in place to launch a sustained assault on promotion for the second half of the season.

But with the league incredibly congested, Magpies assistant boss Cox believes both sides will be going out to win when they lock horns for a second time this season.

Notts County assistant manager Neil Cox (Dan Westwell)

“I think it will be a little bit more open,” he said.

“I don’t think they have played at home for a while.

"They will be looking forward to it as well as their fans.

“I am sure we will take good travelling support.

“The way the league is, teams need to win games.

“There’s no point sitting in and us being negative and sitting behind the ball.

“We will play forward and we will try to win it.”
