We will set up high court bench in Kurnool: Nara Lokesh

AMARAVATI: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh has promised to set up a high court bench in Kurnool after TDP comes into power.

He said that they will not make any fake and false promises to dupe the people. A delegation of advocates met Lokesh during his padayatra in Kurnool on Monday. Speaking to the delegates, Lokesh said that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had been deceiving the people of Rayalaseema with a promise of setting up of the High Court despite knowing that it is not in his domain.

"We assure you that we will set up the High Court bench with the consent of the High Court in Kurnool. We will not go back from our promise," asserted Lokesh. He said that the YSRCP government had in fact shifted the Judicial Academy which was granted to Kurnool to Tadepalle.

He said that the YSRCP government filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court saying that the High Court will remain in Amaravati. Surprisingly, finance minister Buggana Rajendranath said that the High Court will also be moved to Visakhapatnam, said Lokesh. He said that YSRCP leaders have been deceiving people with false promises for the past four years and the time has come for the people to realise their plots. Advocates Lokesh said that they were completely misled by the YSRCP leaders’ promises about the setting up of the High Court. They thanked Lokesh for promising to get the High Court bench to Kurnool.

Later, Lokesh interacted with the representatives of the Vysya community and promised them to take all measures for the welfare of the poor people from the community. He said that late chief minister K Rosaiah who belongs to the Vysya community, worked impartially till his last breath. He said that Rosaiah selflessly served the state in different positions. He said that Rosaiah used to be the chief negotiator when there was a stand-off between YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu. He said that YS Jagan had set up corporations without any budgetary allocations. He promised to grant funds to all the corporations as per the population ratio. He promised to resolve all the issues related to the GST soon after coming into power. He demanded that the power tariff should be lowered to help traders.

"We have sent a Vysya leader (TG Venkatesh) to Rajya Sabha and made a Vysya leader minister (Sidda Raghava Rao) when TDP was in power. Give us 14 assembly seats and 2 MP seats, we will bring development to the district," assured Lokesh.
