Towards the end of 2020, the Irish Mirror took ourselves into two major stores to find out which supermarket giant offered better value for money on the day-to-day essentials.
Now we're back, with another shopping guide designed to help your pennies stretch when it comes to your grocery shop.
Of course, given the situation of Covid-19, it's better off to avoid a packed shop where possible.
So for that reason, we went online to both Tesco and SuperValu to see what we could get for 20 of our hard-earned euros (and a bit of chunk change).

Verdict
Though you are able to stock up pretty well if you're short of cash in either store as a result of own brand items, you could probably feed yourself better with the stuff from Tesco.
There's a solid base for a week of lunches as well as a number of dinner options with all of it coming in cheaper than the equivalents in SuperValu.
