We went Christmas shopping in Cardiff's charity shops and this is what we found

As Christmas gets ever closer so does getting organised and getting presents for everyone from the babies in your family to your grandparents.

Charity shopping is the perfect way to find some fab gifts this season as lockdown clearouts mean many items have been donated, it is eco-friendly and better for the environment, and is cost-effective.

We visited all the charity shops on Albany Road in Cardiff and there are some fab deals to be had.

Women

If you are looking to buy something for your girlfriend, wife, sister, mum or grandmother, or anyone else who loves a fashionable bargain, then the charity shops will not disappoint.

Handbags: Lots of the charity shops on Albany Road were offering a great range of handbags from brands like Cath Kidston, such as this over-the-shoulder style and rucksack from Greyhound Rescue Wales.

Fashion: There are so many great brands available in charity shops for such a good price it is always worth a browse and The British Red Cross, of which there are two shops on Albany Road, is partnered with Zara meaning you get cheaper clothes straight from the high street.

Boyfriends, husbands, uncles, fathers and grandfathers can all be ticked off the list at a charity shop, too.

Fashion: There are some great brands available in charity shops for men including Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, Jack Jones, and many more.

Other: From classic car models to wash bags you can find a huge variety of gifts in the charity and the other items in the women's section such as the pieces for the home could easily be brought for men too.
