We want to know all about your babies born during lockdown on Merseyside

Bringing a baby into the world is challenging at the best of times without the coronavirus crisis to contend with.

But this is the reality many new parents are facing as their due date arrives during lockdown.

Despite the challenges the pandemic poses, these new lives deserve to be celebrated - which is why we're asking parents from Merseyside who have had a baby during lockdown to get in touch with us.

If you've had a baby since the government imposed the lockdown restrictions on March 23 or you welcome your baby into the world in the coming weeks and would like to share this with us, please email charlotte.hadfield@reachplc.com with the following information:

- You and your baby's names

- Where your baby was born and how much they weighed

- A photo of your baby

- What it's like to have a baby during lockdown and any advice you'd like to share with other expectant parents

Boyzone singer Ronan Keating lifted the lid on his daughter's unconventional birth as he and wife Storm celebrated the arrival of newborn Coco on Friday, March 27.

The father-of-two described the birth as "strange" as he put in a call to his Magic radio co-host Harriet Scott live on air last week.

He said: “It’s daddy day care. Like so many others, it’s all hands on deck. Look, it’s amazing. Mama’s doing great.. she’s (Coco's) the tiniest little, beautiful little bundle. She’s gorgeous.”
