Missing teenager Paige Jobes has been found safe and well.

The 13-year-old, from Gateshead, was reported missing by her family on Saturday night, after she was last seen near the Tyne Bridge.

Police described the teen as "high risk" and appealed to the public for help.

But on Sunday evening officers confirmed that Paige had been located, and thanked the public for their help.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Missing teenager Paige Jobes has been located safe an well. Thank you for sharing our appeal."

Earlier in the evening Chief Supt Janice Hutton who was leading the search for Northumbria Police issued a direct message to Paige.

She said: "If Paige sees this appeal then we would urge you to get in touch. Your family are worried and we want to bring you home safely.”

“We are very concerned for Paige’s welfare. We are asking the public to keep an eye out for Paige especially on the street or public transport."
