'We want him back now' - Arsenal fans react as Aaron Ramsey scores on his Juventus league debut

There was plenty of talk when Arron Ramsey was allowed to leave Arsenal in the summer.

A new contract for the Welshman to stay in north London was on the table, before it was rescinded, leaving Ramsey free to sign a pore-contract agreement with a foreign club in January.

There was much interest in the 28-year-old, but he eventually signed a contract with Italian giants Juventus to move to Turin in the summer.

Arsenal fans and famous former players could not believe the Welshman had been allowed to run down his contract and allowed to leave the club on a free transfer.

The decision to allow Ramsey to leave for free was particularly galling for the Gunners faithful given Mesut Ozil had been allowed to pen a £300,000 a week new deal.

And the Arsenal fans have been left thinking what might have been after Ramsey made his Serie A debut for the Old Lady on Saturday.

Ramsey came on with three minutes to go of Juve's 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday, but was given his first start under Maurizio Sarri against Verona on Saturday.

And it did not take him long to score his first goal either, taking a pass from Cristiano Ronaldo to fire home from the edge of the box.

Some fans were left wishing he was still at Arsenal, while others were just pleased to see himon the scoresheet for his new team.
