Jesy Nelson has announced the birth of her twin baby girls in an emotional Instagram post, revealing they arrived early but are healthy and doing well.
The former Little Mix star, 33, confirmed she welcomed her daughters with partner Zion Foster at 31 weeks and five days. Sharing the news with her 10 million followers, she posted a photo of the newborns and revealed their names: Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster.
In the caption, she wrote: “So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days.
“It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love. Everybody meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster.”
Jesy also confirmed the babies were born on Thursday, 15 May.
The singer had previously been open about complications during her pregnancy, explaining the twins were “living off one placenta” due to pre-stage twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), a rare condition affecting blood flow between twins in the womb. She later underwent emergency surgery and confirmed that the TTTS had cleared up.
“We just wanted to thank you so much for all your supportive, beautiful messages,” she told fans earlier. “You guys have been so lovely; we’ve seen all of your lovely messages and stories, and it’s really helped us keep going.”
Messages of congratulations have since poured in from fans, friends and fellow celebrities.
