'We told you!' - Arsenal fans send Miguel Azeez message after what happened for Portsmouth

Arsenal have produced a number of home-grown top-quality talents in recent years.

The esteemed Hale End academy has developed Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka, both of which are in the current England squad, in recent times.

Now the likes of Folarin Balogun, Charlie Patino and Miguel Azeez are expected to break into Mikel Arteta's thinking in the near future, with the latter currently plying his trade on loan at League One side Portsmouth.

Azeez has struggled to establish himself as a regular for Danny Crowley's side, making just two league appearances so far this season and football.london reported last month that the Gunners are considering recalling the youngster if he doesn't feature more regularly in the coming weeks.

However, the 19-year-old started for Pompey in the Papa John's Trophy on Tuesday night, enjoying a solid night against Crystal Palace Under-21s as he netted the opener - his first goal this season - in a 3-0 victory.

After the goal, Arsenal supporters took to social media to urge Crowley to play Azeez on a more regular basis. Here is how a select few on Twitter reacted.

@Arsenaldenham1: "Amazing what happens when u play him."

@al3xmacdonald_: "Start him every game for the rest of the season."

@fxzinho: "we told you."

@TGeorgeLDN: "Start playing him more often he’s gonna be a star that boy and you’re putting him on the bench."

@TheGM35Wing: "Play him all the timeeeee."

@straithh: "play him more than now."

@Jacksonafc35: "Give him more minutes. He is a talented youngster!"

@now_arsenaI: "That’s probably why you should play him more… just a thought."
