We simulated Tottenham vs Olympiacos to get a score prediction for Champions League clash

Jose Mourinho will get his first taste of Champions League action as the new Tottenham head coach on Tuesday night, as Spurs host Greek side Olympiacos at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After being left out of Spurs 3-2 win against West Ham at the weekend, Tanguy Ndombele, Moussa Sissoko, Giovani Lo Celso, Juan Foyth, Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose are all pushing for a recall in midweek, but the front four of Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son are likely to start for Mourinho once again.

So, how will Mourinho get on in his first European game as Spurs boss?

And, what will the final score be?

We used FIFA 20 to predict the outcome of Tottenham vs Olympiacos ahead of their midweek Champions League clash.

Tottenham vs Olympiacos on FIFA 20

To set up this simulation, we used kick-off mode within FIFA 20 but didn't select a team to control; we then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a unique prediction.

The AI difficulty was set to world class, with the line-up updated with the latest transfers, injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Tottenham could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with the line-up as follows: Gazzaniga; Walker-Peters, Foyth, Vertonghen, Rose; Ndombele, Sissoko; Lo Celso, Alli, Son; Kane.

We predict that Olympiacos could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Sa; Tsimikas, Semedo, Meriah, Elabdellaoui; Bouchalakis, Guilherme; Podence, Camara, Masouras; El-Arabi.

(EA SPORTS FIFA)

Tottenham started the game with good tempo and intent, but the away side were holding resolute in defence, dropping back and denying space in behind.

Tanguy Ndombele had the first chance of the game in the 16th minute, after Danny Rose had laid the ball back to him from a wide position, but the Frenchman skewed his effort way wide.

(EA SPORTS FIFA)

It was a disappointing and boring first 45 minutes for Spurs, who were finding it hard to break down Olympiakos.

In the second-half, Spurs came out with extra impetus, and were going more direct to try and break the deadlock.

But with just 20 minutes to go, it was still a bleak 0-0.

That was until a moment of real quality from Heung-min Son finally broke the deadlock for Mourinho's side.

The South Korean forward beat his man in the box before cutting inside and curling a wonderful effort into the far corner.

A really classy finish.

Spurs didn't let up in the final 15 minutes, continuing to threaten the Greek side's goal, but it took them until added time to double their lead.

Harry Kane found some space in the area, made himself half a yard and smashed an effort into the near post.

And that was that, Spurs got their win.

Full-time score: Tottenham 2-0 Olympiacos

Here are the full-time match stats.

(EA SPORTS FIFA)

Spurs were in control, so much so that the away side had just one shot in the entire match.

Harry Kane was the game's Man of the Match, scoring and assisting in the 2-0 win.

(EA SPORTS FIFA)

This FIFA 20 simulation predicts that it will take a long while for Spurs to break down Olympiacos, but two moments of quality will be enough to claim the three points.

What do you think the score will be?
