We simulated Chelsea vs Aston Villa to get a score prediction for the Amazon Prime clash

Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to West Ham at the weekend, as they welcome Aston Villa to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening in the Premier League.

The Blues are likely to welcome Tammy Abraham back into the starting lineup against Villa, after the English striker missed their defeat against the Hammers last time out.

So, what will the final score be against Villa?

And, what XI will Frank Lampard go for?

We used FIFA 20 to predict the outcome of this midweek Premier League clash.

Oliver Harbord's Chelsea team of the decade

Chelsea vs Aston Villa simulated on FIFA 20

To set up this simulation, we used kick-off mode within FIFA 20 but didn't select a team to control; we then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a unique prediction.

The AI difficulty was set to world class, with the line-up updated with the latest transfers, injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Chelsea could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Kepa; James, Zouma, Tomori, Azpilicueta; Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic; Willian, Abraham, Pulisic.

We predict that Aston Villa could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Heaton; Elmohamady, Engels, Mings, Targett; Nakamba, McGinn, Hourihane; Trezeguet, Wesley, Grealish.

(EA SPORTS FIFA)

In the opening thirty minutes, Villa were arguably the better side and were causing Lampard's side real problems, particularly on the Blues left hand side, with Trezeguet's pace beating Azpilicueta time and time again.

The Blues' first real chance of the game fell to Abraham in the 35th minute, who turned Engels in the area, but Tom Heaton saved well at the near post to deny him.

There were also efforts from outside the area from Jorginho and Kante, which both narrowly missed the target, as the Blues peppered Villa's goal just before half-time.

When Chelsea came out for the second-half, they were a different team, playing with more intensity and tempo.

But, their opening goal actually came on the counter-attack, with Kante winning the ball back and playing it into the centre of the pitch to Kovacic, who sent a lovely through ball into space for Pulisic to run into.

The American then ran clear of the Villa defence and finished well with his weaker foot to make it 1-0.

(EA SPORTS FIFA)

And it was 2-0 just a few minutes later, as Willian slid a brilliant pass down the side of Mings for Abraham to run onto, before the Blues striker fired past Heaton to double the home side's lead.

Two quickfire goals for Chelsea.

With Chelsea taking their foot off the gas towards the end of the game, Villa did have a period of possession as they looked to get back into the game, with Grealish moving into some dangerous positions.

But, Frank Lampard's side weathered the late storm to secure an important win.

Full-time score: Chelsea 2-0 Aston Villa

Here are the full-time match stats.

Chelsea were in control of possession and had the most shots on goal

The Blues' best player was Mateo Kovacic, who set up Pulisic's opening goal and put in a great performance.

FIFA 20 predicts that Chelsea's game against Villa won't be an easy one, but goals from Pulisic and Abraham will secure a 2-0 home win.

What do you think the score will be?

But, Chelsea slowly regained their composure and control of the game, with Villa failing to test Kepa.
