We simulated Burnley v Everton to get a score prediction for huge Premier League game

Everton travel to Turf Moor tonight to face Burnley in what is a huge clash at the bottom of the table.

Frank Lampard is set to be without at least seven first-team players for the trip with Michael Keane joining Allan in being suspended for the crucial 'six-pointer' while Yerry Mina, Andros Townsend, Tom Davies, Donny van de Beek and Nathan Patterson are out injured.

So, what line-ups will both teams select and what could the final score be? We used FIFA 22 to get a score prediction for Burnley against Everton and this is what happened. We used kick-off mode in FIFA 22, but didn't select a team to control, we then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a score prediction.

Burnley vs Everton score predicted by simulation

We predict that Everton could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Pickford; Coleman, Branthwaite, Godfrey, Kenny; Holgate, Doucoure; Gordon, Alli, Richarlison; Calvert-Lewin.

We predict that Burnley could set up in a 4-4-2 formation, with their line-up as follows: Pope; Roberts, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Lennon, Westwood, Brownhill, McNeil; Cornet, Weghorst.

Neither side created any real chances in the first half with Burnley's Wout Weghorst having the only shot on target in the first 45 minutes, drawing a good save from Jordan Pickford. The Dutch striker was able to drift away from his marker in the Everton penalty box and volley a shot toward goal, but Pickford did well to scramble across his line and palm the ball behind for a corner kick.

The match lacked any real quality at either end with both teams looking devoid of confidence in front of goal. Richarlison tried his luck from distance on the hour mark but his shot zipped just wide of Nick Pope's post as the Blues started to push for a crucial opening goal.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was the man to put Everton 1-0 up with just 10 minutes to play at Turf Moor. Anthony Gordon burst down the right, beating Charlie Taylor for pace before firing the ball across the penalty box towards Richarlison.

The Brazilian's first touch took the ball away from James Tarkowski and then played the ball toward Calvert-Lewin on the penalty spot. The Blues' number nine set himself and fired the ball into the top right corner from close range, giving Pope no chance of stopping the shot as the visitors took a vital 1-0 lead late on in the contest.

Burnley responded well but were caught out at the back as Ben Mee tried to build an attack as Calvert-Lewin nipped in to nick the ball off the defender and drive toward goal. The 25-year-old showed no signs of rustiness after recently returning from injury, finishing the chance with confidence, lashing the ball past Pope into the bottom right corner to make it 2-0 in the 88th minute.

Everton would see the game out and win their first away match in the league since August, keeping a vital clean sheet in the process. Lampard's side made it two wins in their last five games, with a huge encounter on the horizon as they welcome Manchester United to Goodison Park at the weekend.

FIFA 22 predicted final score: Burnley 0-2 Everton

FIFA 22 predicts that Everton could come out as victors in a massive game at the bottom of the table, taking all three points thanks to a brace from Calvert-Lewin. The Blues' weakened squad were able to see off any threat from the hosts as their quality in attack made the difference on the night.
