We simulated Brentford vs Tottenham to get a score prediction for Premier League clash

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to maintain their fourth-place spot on Saturday, as they face an in-form Brentford side in the Premier League.

After four consecutive Premier League wins which has seen Spurs score 14 goals, Antonio Conte's side suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Brighton in their last league outing. After their defeat and Arsenal's win against Chelsea, Spurs are currently ahead of the Gunners in the table, but only on goal difference.

Ryan Sessegnon could return to the Spurs starting XI against Brighton with the wing-back fully recovered from injury, leaving Japhet Tanganga, Oliver Skipp and Matt Doherty the only absentees. The last meeting between Spurs and Brentford saw Spurs claim a routine 2-0 win, and Conte will be hoping for a similar result on Saturday.

So, what line-up will Conte select? And, what could the final score be? We used FIFA 22 to get a score prediction for Brentford vs Tottenham on Saturday and this is what happened...

Brentford vs Tottenham score predicted by simulation

We used kick-off mode in FIFA 22, but didn't select a team to control. We then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a score prediction.

We predict that the Bees could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Raya; Ajer, Jansson, Sorensen, Henry; Janelt, Norgaard, Eriksen; Mbuemo, Toney, Wissa.

We predict that Tottenham could set up in a 3-4-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Royal, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son.

Harry Kane had the first big chance of the game 10 minutes in, but his curling effort was pushed well away from goal by David Raya. But Spurs had started well, and they took the lead not long after through Dejan Kulusevski.

After winning the ball back deep in the Brentford half, Rodrigo Bentancur threaded a lovely through ball for Kulusevski to chase. The Swedish winger took the ball in his stride as he side-footed his shot around the 'keeper and into the net.

The chances kept coming for Spurs, and they made it 2-0 only a couple of minutes, with Kane getting on the scoresheet. Similar to the first goal, Son won back possession and played Kane through on goal, and the striker curled an effort past Raya at his near post to double the lead.

Spurs were in full control at the Brentford Community Stadium, with the home side unable to escape Spurs' pressure. After 30 minutes, Conte's side grabbed their third of the game as Kulusevski notched his second.

Emerson Royal pressured Rico Henry into making an error on the halfway line, allowing the Brazilian to surge forward with possession. Royal skipped past his marker before finding Kulusevski unmarked in the box, and the striker blasted his shot past Raya for three.

At 3-0 down, the hosts could've easily capitulated, but they kept going in an attempt to get back into the game. Former Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen sent a wicked cross into the box just before half-time, and his dangerous pass was tapped past Hugo Lloris by Ivan Toney to grab a goal back before the break.

Despite the goal right before the half time whistle, the hosts barely threatened the Spurs goal in the second 45. Lucas Moura and Harry Winks were introduced at half-time by Conte, and the latter set up Kane for Spurs' fourth of the afternoon.

After receiving the ball from the left, Winks fizzed a pass through the Bees' midfield and into the feet of Kane just outside the box. Not closed down immediately, Kane took a touch out of his feet before firing his effort into the top corner, securing the win for the Lilywhites.
