We simulated Arsenal vs Wolves to get a score prediction for Premier League clash

After failing to win any of their last three games in all competitions, Arsenal and Unai Emery could really do with three points in the Premier League this weekend, as they welcome Wolves to the Emirates.

The Gunners lost on penalties to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup Fourth Round in midweek, after the game finished 5-5 after 120 minutes, but the likes of Mesut Ozil, Lucas Torreira, Joe Willock and Gabriel Martinelli impressed at Anfield and could be in line for a recall to the starting lineup against Nuno Espirito Santo's side.

So, what XI will Emery go with against Wolves?

What will the final score be at the Emirates?

We used FIFA 20 to simulate the outcome of Arsenal vs Wolves.

Arsenal vs Wolves score predicted using FIFA 20

To set up this simulation, we used kick-off mode within FIFA 20 but didn't select a team to control; we then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a unique prediction.

The AI difficulty was set to world class, with the line-up updated with the latest transfers, injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Arsenal will set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with the line-up as follows: Leno; Chambers, David Luiz, Sokratis, Tierney; Torreira, Guendouzi; Pepe, Ozil, Aubameyang; Lacazette.

Rui Particio; Traore, Doherty, Coady, Saiss, Jonny; Neves, Moutinho, Dendoncker; Jota, Jimenez.

Arsenal were playing some lovely stuff in the opening stages, with Mesut Ozil heavily involved after being recalled to the Gunners first eleven.

And, to the delight of the Arsenal fans, it was the German who got their opening goal against Wolves.

Ozil played a brilliant one-two with Lacazette, who then fired a low shot into the bottom right hand corner past Rui Particio.

Just a few minutes later the home side could have gone two goals up, when a corner came into the Wolves area and Rui Patricio tried to catch it but the Portugal 'keeper dropped it and stumbled forwards, with the ball finding its way to Pepe on the edge of the area.

The former Lille winger tried to chip it in to the net, with the goal gaping, but he got his bearings all wrong and it floated over the bar.

In the second-half, Arsenal saw slightly less of the ball than they would have expected, as Nuno Espirito Santo's side tried to find a way back into the game.

But, that didn't effect Emery's side, who carried on creating chances.

In the 59th minute, Lacazette ran clear of Doherty and was one-on-one with Rui Patricio, but his effort cannoned off the post.

As the game drew to a close, it looked like Arsenal weren't going to get that second goal to kill the game, but then Aubameyang struck in the 90th minute, curling a great effort into the top corner.
