We simulated Arsenal vs Leicester City to get a score prediction

Arsenal face the Premier League's third placed team on Tuesday night at the Emirates Stadium, with the Gunners hoping to continue their strong winning form against a Leicester side who haven't been in great form since the 2019/20 season resumed.

Mikel Arteta's side have won their last three consecutive league games and another win on Tuesday night could see them draw level with sixth place Wolves, who play Sheffield United on Wednesday.

Arteta is again without Bernd Leno, Calum Chambers Pablo Mari and Gabriel Martinelli, whilst there are doubts over Nicolas Pepe and Mesut Ozil's availability for tonight's clash against the Foxes.

So, what lineup with Mikel Arteta go with? And, what will the final score be?

We used FIFA 20 to have a bit of fun and get a score prediction ahead of the game between Arsenal and Leicester City on Tuesday night.

Arsenal vs Leicester City score predicted using FIFA 20

To set up this simulation, we used kick-off mode within FIFA 20 but didn't select a team to control; we then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself.

The AI difficulty was set to legendary, with the line-up updated with the latest transfers, injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Arsenal could set up in a 3-4-3 formation, with their lineup as follows: Martinez; Mustafi, Luiz, Tierney; Bellerin, Ceballos, Xhaka, Saka; Pepe, Aubameyang, Nketiah.

We predict that Leicester City could set up in a 3-4-1-2 formation, with the lineup as follows: Schmeichel; Justin, Evans, Soyuncu; Barnes, Ndidi, Tielemans, Fuchs; Praet; Vardy, Iheanacho.

In our FIFA 20 simulation of this game, there was one team who were in complete control in the opening 45 minutes, and it wasn't Arsenal.

Leicester City were the more positive of the two side's and should have scored at least twice in the first-half, creating numerous chances to score.

The Foxes' first chance fell to Jamie Vardy, but the England international could only steer his shot straight at Martinez in the Gunners goal, who tipped it wide.

Then came the big chance, as Wilfried Ndidi found himself unmarked and got on the end of a Marc Albrighton cross, but Martinez managed to pull off a stunning save from point blank range to deny the midfielder, with the ball looping up and over the bar.

Here are the half-time match stats, to show just how dominant the away side were in this game. Arsenal needed to improve after trhe break.

Arteta brought on Alexandre Lacazette to replace Eddie Nketiah at half-time, as the Spaniard looked to freshen up his attack. And the Frenchman's introduction transformed the Gunners' performance.

Arsenal were playing much better and took the lead just past the hour mark, with Lacazette opening the scoring with an impressive finish.

The former Lyon striker struck a lovely effort with the outside of his foot which bent into the far corner, with Schmeichel having no chance.

Ten minutes later Arsenal doubled their lead through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with the Gabon international firing home at the near post from the edge of the Foxes area.

Leicester City did rally towards the end and had more possession in the closing stages, but the damage had already been done, and Arsenal had a vital three points.

Full-time score: Arsenal 2-0 Leicester City

Here are the full-time match stats.

Arsenal finished the game with the same number of shots as their opponents and slightly less possession, showcasing just how dominant the away side were in the first-half, and how good Arteta's side were after the break.

This FIFA 20 simulation predicts that Arsenal may have to survive a period of Leicester City dominance, but the introduction of Alexandre Lacazette could change the game for Arteta's side and see them claim an important win and three points.

What do you think the score will be? And, what team to do you think Arteta will go with tonight?

As always, this is just a bit of fun ahead of what could be an important game for Arsenal tonight, lets see what happens in real-life!
