'We're winning the league' - Tottenham fans go wild for new Gareth Bale social media post

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been going wild about a new video released which shows Gareth Bale hitting the target repeatedly in training.

The 31-year-old Welshman rejoined the north London club on loan from Real Madrid with an option for Spurs to keep him for a second year if they and he want.

Bale, who is having roughly 40 per cent of his wages paid by Spurs, arrived with a knee injury picked up on international duty and has now recovered from the problem.

During this current international break he has been working on his fitness at Hotspur Way with Jose Mourinho and the Spurs coaching staff.

After a tough season last time around for Real as he fell out of favour with manager Zinedine Zidane, Bale is now looking to get his sharpness back.

Mourinho is hoping that the returning superstar could be ready to play some part in Sunday's Premier League derby against West Ham United.

The latest video released by the club certainly shows the Welshman repeatedly hitting the back of the net in training at the club's Enfield-based complex.

The video posted on both Twitter and Instagram can be seen below.

football.london understands that Tottenham players and staff have been blown away by what Bale has been doing in training during this fortnight.

Spurs fans were certainly taken with the footage and many were starting to get excited at the prospect of a front three of Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Bale.

"We’re winning the league aren’t we boys!" tweeted @THFCConnor.

"I can't be the only one who is crying from happiness," added @N18Saam and @TonySpurano exclaimed: "The guy is a superstar, what a dream."

@jack_thfc_ tweeted simply: "League isn't ready."
