We're #ThereWithYou: How you can freely promote your business to tens of thousands on Twitter with BusinessLive

The coronavirus outbreak has dramatically changed the way we live and work - and has had a huge impact on the business world.

Now we at BusinessLive and Reach want to give something back to help firms in these troubled times through #ThereWithYou.

Companies large and small have had to close temporarily or reduce their operations as part of the national effort to shut down the Covid-19 pandemic.

The strict but necessary measures needed to contain the outbreak have meant the closure of shops, pubs and restaurants - and that’s had a huge impact on all the businesses behind the scenes that supply them and depend on them. We’ve seen Grimsby Fish Market’s auction suspended, and a huge split in fortunes for the seafood sector depending on who the end customer is.

Many other businesses, from tech firms to professional services companies, have also been affected, while the whole business world is adapting to the idea of working from home. Other businesses have adapted to help the UK’s coronavirus effort by developing ventilators or switching to make other products such as hand sanitiser - with Smith & Nephew, RB and Croda doing the region proud.

It’s been an uncertain and unsettling time - and we don’t yet know when it will end.

Britain’s business community is strong, proud and resilient. It will get through. But times are tough. Even the likes of Siemens Gamesa have had to make sweeping changes to adapt to the temporary ‘normal’ we now know.

And we and all our colleagues at parent company Reach want to offer support to our businesses.

So to celebrate businesses around the country, we are launching the #ThereWithYou Hour on Twitter on Thursday (April 2) between 2pm and 3pm.

During #ThereWithYou Hour we’ll be retweeting your business stories for free from the Business Live Humber Twitter account, and our sister accounts across the country. That means your stories could reach tens of thousands of people.

And we can also share the message on our many local business Twitter accounts - including @HumberBizEd

It’s a reminder that we and our colleagues across the Reach network are here with you and want to help you.

This serves as a reminder that we are there with you during the darkness and want to help in any way we can.

All you need to do is tweet our @HumberBizEd account with a short description of where you are and what your business offers, including the hashtag #ThereWithYou. Add a picture, brighten feeds the nation over, and let’s make your business our business too!
