A World of Warcraft Home Is Taking Over Federation Square This Australian Open
Calling all Horde and Alliance: World of Warcraft: Midnight is coming to Federation Square this AO to give you an IRL glimpse of what it’s like to live on Azeroth.
Keeping you cozy during the wait for the much-anticipated release of Midnight on March 3, we’ve set up some game inspired housing in the heart of Fed Square that’ll have you and your party feel right at home.
Part of the AO’s festivities, the Midnight House & Lounge will boast custom furniture, trinkets and more, immersing fans in a new, yet familiar experience straight from the likes of their favourite fantasy game.
Running from January 22 to January 25, we’re asking all citizens of Azeroth to call a truce with their enemies, put down arms (just for a second), and enjoy the festivities of this epic activation.
Quest objective: bring WoW to the real world
Modelled on the expansion’s new Player Housing feature that finally lets you design and customise your own in-game home, this activation is sure to bring a tear to the eyes of every player.
The Midnight House & Lounge pop-up is aiming to feel as homely as possible, so expect to be in for an absolute treat as this neighbourhood experience is bought to life.
Dismiss your fire elementals, ‘cos they’ll be giving out some frosty snow cones that you can enjoy with your guild while watching some tennis on Fed Square’s big screen. The mixture of these two cultural events truly makes this IRL neighbourhood experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. After all, who else can claim that they’ve watched the AO from Midnight’s new locations of Founder’s Point or Razorwind Shores?
Delicious frozen treats and world-class tennis aside, you and your party are invited rep their guild, dress up and take advantage of the unlimited photo ops within the housing, snapping pics with all the WoW iconography that you know and love.
Achievement earned: WoW FINALLY has Player Housing
ICYMI, the release of WoW’s newest expansion, Midnight, is just around the corner, and we’re all just as excited as we were when we found the Miner’s Hat of the Deep for the first time, especially with the new Player Housing feature.
Player Housing is something that fans of the game have wanted for years, so this new update absolutely feels like a love letter from Blizzard to their dedicated players. This feature bringing about what is arguably the ultimate layer of fantasy to the game from our real world — a mortgage-free home for every citizen.
Whether you’ve rolled as a brutish Horde or sworn your duty to the Night Elves, everyone has been waiting for the day they can create their very own place to call home in WoW. From the social aspect of chilling out after raiding with your guild, to showing off your latest feat of strength with exclusive décor, Midnight’s housing feature will allow players to make their home as unique as their journey in the game.
I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t wait to get out there and customise the space of my humble abode. I think I’ll have to add “interior designer” to my professions tab in the next expansion.
So, my champions of Azeroth, it’s time to bring this online sensation to life and join us for this insanely epic activation at Fed Square from January 22 to January 25.
Adventure is calling you home.
