We're sold - We tried out this new Edinburgh restaurant that sells delicious pizza and £3 pints

Finding dinner deals so that you afford to eat out in Edinburgh can feel like a bit of challenge, especially when there's so much choice in the capital.

But, if you know where to look, value for money doesn't mean you have to comprise on the experience and one of Edinburgh's newest restaurants/bar proves it.

Froth and Flame on Morrison Street, which was formerly the Foxy Fiddler, is the cool, new bar and restaurant that every cash-strapped foodie needs to know about.

Have you visited Froth and Flame? (Froth and Flame)

The bar area has been transformed into a rustic and cosy space, while there is also a covered seating area outside that we predict will be full to the brim come summer 2020.

There is also has a quieter dining area in the back, where you can escape for a quiet bite to eat.

£3 drinks...yes, please.

Whether you're headed for a quick drink or date night treat, there's a drink for every occassion.

They sell a wide variety of craft beers - hence "Froth" - as well as a range of spirits and cocktails, which are priced admirably lower than your average tipple in Edinburgh.

What's on the menu?

The menu has something for everyone, with a number of Napotelian-style pizzas to choose from, as well as pastas, risottos, salads, fish and even sharing platters.

We tried the vegetariana, which was a delicious mix of mozzarella, grilled vegetables and olive oil, and a quattro formaggi, which was smothered in goat's cheese, gorgonzola and parmesan. Make sure you also get a side of chips loaded with roquito - they won't dissapoint.

Froth and Flame is the perfect place to go for comfort food that won't break the bank, with pizzas starting at £5 and an entire sharing board with a selection of cold meats for just £9.

Cracking deals on food and drink combos

Froth and Flame will keep you coming back with their value for money combos.

These include lunch for a fiver from Monday to Friday, between 12-4pm, as well as margarita Mondays where you can grab a margarita pizza and house cocktail for just £5.

They are also doing a special Christmas menu offer, with two courses for £14.95 or three courses for £16.95. This includes soup, a choice of pizzas or pasta based dishes for your main and a dessert.
