'We're playing for the Adam Cuthbertson Trophy!' - Richard Agar's joke ahead of Leeds Rhinos' training session with York

Leeds Rhinos will get together with York City Knights for an oppossed training session tonight, but one man in particular is said to be looking forward to it more than most.

Adam Cuthbertson will get to go up against his former team-mates in the session, having joined the Championship club in the off-season.

Head coach Richard Agar couldn't help but poke fun at his former forward ahead of the session.

"We're playing for the Adam Cuthbertson Trophy," he joked.

"The boys are already saying that he'll be watching his motivational videos tonight, all his youtube highlights."

Agar continued: "It's just a training session really, it's not even what we would determine a friendly game.

"We're just going look at different elements of our attack and defence, to be able to go 13 versus 13 against another team will make it a bit unscripted for us.

"We'll get some continuous football going, from a fitness perspective that will help us, we'll try out some of our good ball stuff but we'll be able to control it, it's not going to be a game that's really random and refereed and ebbs and flows.

"We'll control the tempo of the session and come up against different opposition. It's just another part of our pre-season development and we'll try out some of the stuff we've been working on and some stuff we'll have to fix up along the way."
