‘We’re out there’: Ron Rivera doesn’t deny report that Washington is aggressively seeking new QB

There are a number of positions where the Washington Football Team could improve this offseason, but none more important than quarterback. Both Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen are under contract for the 2021 season, but any fan would tell you that they would feel much more comfortable with a different face added in training camp, either via free agency, the draft or a trade.

Luckily for those fans, several reports have come out this offseason that of all the teams who are seeking a new quarterback through one of those avenues, Washington has been among the most aggressive.

When asked about that on Wednesday, coach Ron Rivera didn’t deny it, and though he couldn’t delve into details about the players that the team is looking at, he said all that he needed to.

Washington is out there. They have a defense that is ready to compete in big games, and they are a couple of pieces away from being a real contender. Rivera knows that, and he’s going to do everything he can to fix that this offseason.
