Manchester United fans couldn't help but share their delight after various news outlets reported that Erik ten Hag is on the verge of becoming the next manager at Old Trafford.
Sources have reportedly told ESPN that United have settled on Ten Hag to be their next boss. They claim that both chief executive Richard Arnold and co-chairman Joel Glazer are in agreement that the Dutchman is the best person to take United forward.
MEN Sport revealed last month that Ten Hag had been interviewed for the position and that the United board consider him to be their preferred option for the role, with Ajax now expecting their boss to leave for Old Trafford. Mauricio Pochettino is also believed to have been considered for the role.

Ten Hag's first job at United, if he is to be appointed, will be to win over the players after the Manchester Evening News reported that some of the dressing room were split over whether he is the right man for the job.
