'We're not playing great' - Millwall boss hoping for upturn in form as Bristol City visit for must-win game

Millwall boss Neil Harris admits his side have been feeling the pressure as they prepare to host Bristol City on Tuesday.

The Robins travel to The Den with their play-off hopes hanging by a thread on the back of consecutive 2-0 defeats.

The losses to Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County mean City have no other option but to win their remaining games and hope other results go their way.

Meanwhile, Millwall only really have the incentive of not finishing 21st after West Brom's win over Rotherham at the weekend confirmed their safety at the Millers' expense.

Neil Harris admitted his side haven't been playing well with the threat of relegation weighing heavy, but he hopes for a reaction as the Robins fly into the Lions' Den with the pressure now off his players.

"I'm the first to admit we're not playing great," he told the club's official website.

What Lee Johnson said when asked about his Bristol City future with a year left to run on his contract

"We had a little spell where we were good, and while it's nervy, the boys are great and the dressing room is brilliant.

"You can see when they get out onto the grass that there's so much at stake, and they're not stupid, they understand that.

"When I call on the fans to get behind the team, I know it's hard because everyone shares the nerves."

He added: "We'll see what we have to do against Bristol City, but we will look for a performance.

"I know we can be better - but what we need Tuesday is a big midweek atmosphere under the lights at The Den.

"We're playing on a likely zippier pitch against a very good side in Bristol City. We need everyone finishing our home campaign on a high."

Should the Robins win their game in hand at Millwall then they will be only one point behind both Derby and Middlesbrough, albeit with the Rams to play on Wednesday evening at Swansea City.

However, if either Derby or Middlesbrough win any of the remaining three games they share, the Robins' Premier League dreams will be over for another season.
