We're internet dependent. Did we need Yahoo's research to tell us that?

It must be Christmas; we've had details through of some 'research' showing that the British population is now more interested in spending time online than in personal hygiene. I thought it was getting bit whiffy around here...

"89% of Britons now visit the internet daily to search for new and interesting information or stay in touch with friends, whereas a mere 57% have a bath every day," reveals Yahoo's 'research'. It goes on to say the web is more important than TV and white sliced bread (no figures for brown), that 74% of us now use it every day and that 73% of the UK population have saved money by finding better deals online.

The point? I can only think this is designed to stabilise Yahoo's decidedly shakey credibility and make us realise how important the internet, and therefore Yahoo, is to our lives. How quaint. Guys we know. Really.

If you want to know ho bad you've got it, try this handy Internet Addiction test...

I scored 62 out of a possible 100, so perhaps I'm not doing too badly: "You are experiencing occasional or frequent problems because of the Internet. You should consider their full impact on your life."
