'We're going up and Patrick Bamford's driving the bus' - Leeds United fans go nuts after 5-0 win

Leeds United have moved back to the top of the Championship table.

And in some style too.

The Whites led 1-0 at the break against Stoke City thanks to a Mateusz Klich penalty on the stroke of half-time.

But Marcelo Bielsa's men turned on the style in the second half to bulldoze past the Potters with four further unanswered goals.

Helder Costa and Liam Cooper made the game safe with two goals in 12 second half minutes before Pablo Hernandez made it 4-0 and Patrick Bamford rounded off the scoring with an injury-time fifth, striking both posts with his shot before going in.

The State of Football Finance: Premier League

It took the Whites back above West Bromwich Albion and crucially back to six points ahead of third-placed Brentford, with only four games to play.

That means Bielsa's side need seven points from their remaining four games to clinch promotion to the Premier League, and perhaps even fewer depending on Brentford's results in the coming weeks.

For the Leeds United supporters, however, they are in dreamland.

Bielsa's job could be done this tie next week, when the Whites take on Barnsley in the Championship. Or they may have to wait until next Sunday against Derby County.

However it happens, the Leds fans are getting excited about Premier League football now after that five-star showing.
