'We're going to have the same problem' - Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti on Newcastle United test

Carlo Ancelotti believes Newcastle United will cause his Everton side "problems" in their upcoming Premier League clash.

The Toffees emerged triumphant in the reverse fixture at St James' Park a little over three weeks ago.

A brace from Dominic Calvert-Lewin - either side of Fabian Schar's equaliser - was enough for Ancelotti's side to claim all three points.

The sides meet again at Goodison Park on Tuesday night locked level in mid-table on 29 points.

Everton have picked up three victories in five league encounters since Ancelotti took the helm, although the Toffees were humbled in the FA Cup by a shadow Liverpool side.

Speaking ahead of United's visit, the Everton boss admits the Magpies caused his side "problems" at St James' Park and expects a similar challenge in their latest encounter.

Ancelotti said: "We had problems against Newcastle in the away game two weeks ago, and I think we're going to have the same problem tomorrow.

"We have to be focused, we don't have to look at the table in this moment. We have to do our best to take three points tomorrow which is really important for our confidence.

"The atmosphere around us is good and this is really important. We've had some good results, and we have to continue having results to keep the spirit of the team high."
