We Ranked The Real Housewives Series In Order Of Spice, From Table-Tosses To Wine Throws
Almost twenty years after the first series of The Real Housewives was released, the spin-offs are still going strong.
It all began in 2006 when The Real Housewives of Orange County gave us a glimpse into the glitzy lives of wealthy wives. The early example of reality TV has become a phenomenon with the franchise expanding into 11 U.S. series, 21 countries, and over 30 (!) global adaptations.
Now, the reality show is headed to the English capital with The Real Housewives of London. The series is now streaming exclusively on Hayu with new episodes every Monday, and we can’t wait to pour the English Breakfast tea as the wives spill all the goods.
This series will follow a whole new cast of housewives with Juliet Angus, Amanda Cronin, Karen Loderick-Peace, Juliet Mayhew, Panthea Parker and Nessie Welschinger in the starring roles. According to the trailer, they’ll be navigating “life, legacy and loyalty” all while swanning around Scottish castles and meeting literal royalty. Honestly, we’re sat for the champagne-throwing drama that’d leave the King himself gagged.

The Real Housewives of Dubai
Although they’re on hiatus at the moment, The Real Housewives of Dubai deserve their flowers for bringing the drama all the way from the desert. Chanel Ayan and Caroline Stanbury‘s feud had us sipping our cocktails and gobbling popcorn, while the chaos behind Caroline’s over-the-top, lavish, and deeply dramatic wedding was PEAK Housewives. The only reason why it’s ranked at the bottom of this list is because it’s on pause, BUT there are two chaotic seasons for us to enjoy on a loop for a dose of stylish chaos.

The spicy ladies of Miami never fail to light our TV screens on fuego (aka fire) with tea spill after tea spill. The current season alone has featured screenshots being leaked at an event, a drink being thrown at a housewife, and savage exchanges that have made their way to social media. Plus, it’s set to the stunning backdrop of Miami, complete with yachts, art deco mansions, high-fashion beach looks, and the neon-lit nightlife. The perfect setting for jaw-dropping drama!

The Real Housewives of Orange County
Ah, the series that started it all! The Real Housewives of Orange County kicked it all off, and the ensuing drama helped launch the franchise that we know and love all these years later. The series is currently airing, and the drama is still on another level and making headlines. So what makes The Real Housewives of Orange County so damn spicy? Well, it set the tone for all other Housewives series: over-the-top wealth, glamorous settings, and women whose friendships are both ride-or-die and ready-to-explode. I’m not kidding about that last part, Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador (two of the fieriest Housewives of all time) have been beefing since 2020 and it’s STILL GOING! The girlies are committed to the bit, and we love them for it!

The Real Housewives of Potomac is easily one of the most dramatic and unfiltered shows in the Real Housewives universe. Known for its sharp reads, iconic shade, and explosive confrontations, The Real Housewives of Potomac has delivered a steady stream of headline-making chaos, including wine throws, hair pulls, and an incarcerated cast member. The physical altercation in season 5 between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard Bassett is tattooed into the brain of every drama-monger who’s already rewatched the series umpteen times. One of the first housewives cabs off the rank, The Real Housewives of Atlanta really did put the franchise on the map with its secret weapon: Miss NeNe Leakes. Arguably the most iconic housewife of all time, Nene brought the drama with her intense feud with co-stars Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Sheree Whitfield feat. wig-pulling and comedic reads. The Real Housewives of London
It’s hard to beat some of the OG Housewives franchises in the chaos ranking, but brand spanking new series The Real Housewives of London does a jolly good job of it! We’ve only seen a few episodes so far, but these ladies have already spilled enough royal tea to rank high up there in the Housewives hall of fame. The series takes the drama to a whole new level, featuring “designer drama”, set to the gorgeous and luxurious backdrop of merry old London. Think family clashes, ambition, and intense loyalty tests, plus savage takedowns like: “chronic liar and insecure twat” and “You’re a f*cking b*tch and a lowlife.” It’s truly chef’s kiss.
The dinners are where the tea truly gets spilled, though — from Panthea and Juliet fighting over who is fake at Amanda’s International Women’s Day event (the irony), to the infamous tooth-gate, which is brought up at every big event in classic Real Housewives style. Plus, controversial couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle even get brought into the drama at one stage (no spoilers, you’ll see!). Us Aussies will feel right at home, given that Juliet is a local face from Mareeba in Far North Queensland.

I don’t know what’s in the secret sauce of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but the drama was next-level right from the get-go. From Teresa Giudice‘s iconic table flip that changed reality TV forever to being ambushed by her relatives who joined the show in secret and brought us over a decade of family drama, RHONJ has been a wild ride.
The cameras followed the ladies of New Jersey for every jaw-dropping moment, including Teresa’s legal drama and eventual incarceration, plus a full-on brawl at a country club and a christening (!?!?). The Real Housewives of New Jersey is by far the most scandalous reality show out there. You’ll be dining on that Italiano drama like a big bowl of tasty pasta.
