Leeds is packed full of brilliant takeaways, serving up sensational food from all over the globe - but Tavassoli's is quite simply not in that category.
The Greek restaurant and takeaway has (somehow) been crowned the best in Leeds by the British Takeaway Awards, who included on a shortlist of some of the UK's finest places to grab a bite to eat.
But having tried the food on offer, it's mindblowing to think it was even considered.
Don't get me wrong, it's not particularly horrifying and it wasn't inedible, but it was bland, boring and the meat was average at best.
Our 90-second video review above gives you a flavour of what to expect. Well, I say flavour - there wasn't all that much flavour in any of the food to be honest.
One thing it does have in its favour are the portion sizes.
The gyros specials are huge, with chips, pitta, salad and halloumi accompanying your choice of meat, but that's pretty much where the high praise ends.
Tavassoli's would be a half decent place to grab a late-night snack after a few too many beers on Call Lane or nearby Lower Merrion Street, but for the life of me I cannot understand how it made its way onto a list of the best takeaways in the country.
