'We played s***!' - Cristiano Ronaldo blasts former Juventus team-mates in extraordinary footage

Cristiano Ronaldo has been shown blasting his former Juventus team-mates in a new documentary following the Italian giants last season.

Ronaldo left Juventus during the summer in order to return to Manchester United, following what was a poor season for his former club.

Juve lost their grip on Serie A as they failed to make it 10 league titles in a row, and needed a 4-1 victory over Bologna on the final day of the season just to clinch a top-four place.

And things didn’t go much better for them in Europe, with the Turin club suffering a shock defeat to Porto on away goals during the last-16.

It was that defeat in particular which featured heavily in Amazon’s new “All or Nothing” documentary, with footage inside the dressing room showing Ronaldo hammering his team-mates at half-time, and in particular former Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado.

"We have to work harder," screamed Ronaldo. "What the f***! We didn't play at all! Nothing!"

Cuadrado told the Portuguese star: "don't worry", with Ronaldo replying: "We played s***, always!"

Cuadrado responded: "You must be an example for everyone."

Ronaldo replied: "I'm included too. We have to tell each other the truth, we played s***. This is a Champions League match, we need to have personality."

Manager Andrea Pirlo, who was sacked at the end of the season, then tried to defuse the situation.

"That's enough, let's go," said Pirlo. "That's enough, Cri. That's enough, Juan. We have to be calm and patient.

"We will continue in this spirit, but without arguing, with the posture of someone who wants to win."

Juventus would go on to be knocked out in extra time as Porto won on away goals, ending Ronaldo’s final chance of winning the Champions League in Turin.

Since he left Italy, Ronaldo’s relationship with his former club has become increasingly strained, with former team-mates Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini raising questions over his impact at the club.

"Last year the team played for him, now the group must rediscover that Juve spirit that was there before his arrival," Bonucci said in October.

Chiellini added: "We reached a stage of the working relationship where Cristiano needed new motivation and a team that would play for him. When he finds a team like that, he can always be decisive, as he was at Juve too."
