1. This discount voucher offer (the "Offer") is open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over.
2. All applicants for discount vouchers within the Offer ("Applicant" or "you") shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
3. To apply for discount vouchers you must register an account on theguardian.com (if you do not already hold an account) and sign into your account in order to submit a voucher application form. The voucher application form can be found on the Guardian website at https://id.theguardian.com/vouchers . No purchase is necessary. If you have any questions about how to complete/submit a voucher application form or otherwise in connection with the Offer, please email Guardian News & Media Limited ("GNM" – the promoter of this Offer) at promotions@theguardian.com with "The Guardian and Observer Discount Voucher Offer" as the subject line.
4. Only one voucher application form may be submitted per Applicant. All voucher application forms must be submitted between 11 September and 15 October 2014 inclusive (the "Offer Period"). Individual discount vouchers must be redeemed by the expiry date displayed on the voucher. GNM reserves the right to disqualify any Applicant from participating in the Offer if we have reason to believe such Applicant has created multiple user accounts on theguardian.com for the purpose of submitting multiple voucher application forms. You are responsible for the cost, if any, of accessing theguardian.com in order to submit a voucher application form and for any other costs associated with downloading and/or accessing the vouchers from your computer or mobile device.
5. GNM accepts no responsibility for voucher application forms that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of submission of a voucher application form is not proof of receipt by GNM.
6. If you submit a valid voucher application form in accordance with these Terms and Conditions GNM will send you an email containing a web link to 15 discount vouchers as follows: 2x £1 off the Guardian on Saturday; 2x £1 off the Observer; and 11x £0.60 off the weekday Guardian.
7. The web link to the vouchers will be sent via email to the Applicant's email address provided in the voucher application form. The email will be sent on the day the voucher application form is submitted.
8. The discount vouchers are redeemable in the UK only against paper copies of the Guardian or The Observer (as applicable) in participating retailers where the Guardian or Observer is on sale and where any of the following payment networks are available: ePay; Payzone; and PayPoint. A link to a list of participating retailers can be found on your electronic voucher.
Each discount voucher will contain one barcode which can be scanned to provide a discount as specified in these Terms and Conditions. Any additional terms and conditions displayed on the voucher itself from the moment it has been downloaded onto your computer or mobile device also apply. One voucher is redeemable per day. You can redeem the voucher by showing the barcode to the participating retailer either on your mobile device or by printing the voucher and handing the printed voucher to the participating retailer. The cashier will validate your voucher either by scanning it or entering the voucher number manually, and that voucher cannot be used again.
9. Each discount voucher will display an expiry date. Once the expiry date on a voucher has passed the voucher will no longer be valid and you will not be able to redeem it. Please keep the original email you receive with your unique web link to the discount vouchers in a safe place – GNM cannot accept liability for lost vouchers or in the event that you accidentally delete the email. GNM will not be able to resend the email containing the web link to your discount vouchers in the event you can no longer access the email for any reason.
10. The Offer/discount vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions.
11. The discount vouchers are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or other monetary value.
12. GNM shall use and take care of any personal information you supply to it as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at http://www.theguardian.com/help/privacy-policy, and in accordance with data protection legislation. By submitting a voucher application form you consent to GNM contacting you about: your voucher application; for marketing purposes (where you have consented to the same); and for administration of this Offer.
13. GNM may pass Applicants' details to third parties and/or otherwise engage third party providers in connection with this Offer where the third party is acting on GNM's behalf for the purposes of administering this Offer, and/or for the purposes of sending you GNM's marketing materials (where you have consented to receive such materials), and/or as otherwise required by law. GNM or third parties acting on GNM's behalf may also contact you with information about GNM offers related to this Offer (where you have consented to receive such information).
14. GNM accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of applying for or redeeming discount vouchers within the Offer. GNM further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Offer. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of GNM under law for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury resulting from GNM's negligence
15. GNM reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Offer with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of GNM in all matters relating to the Offer is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
16. GNM shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this Offer where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control.
17. The Offer and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law and Applicants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
