'We need you' - Arsenal fans love what Matteo Guendouzi did for Hertha Berlin

Arsenal fans have been reacting to Matteo Guendouzi's impressive performance for loan club Hertha Berlin.

Guendouzi is spending this season in Germany after falling out with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta last season following a lack of discipline against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The midfielder was criticised over his attitude - not for the first time in his young career - and Arteta was having none of it, keeping Guendouzi out of his team for the rest of the season.

In the summer, it was decided the 21-year-old would spend the season in Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin and it seems he is grasping the opportunity with both hands.

On Saturday, Guendouzi started against Schalke and put in a stunning display, racking up an impressing stat sheet that many on social media have picked up on.

The Frenchman scored the opener in the 3-0 win, made 57 passes with a 97% success rate, completed two key passes and completed three accurate long balls.

That was pointed out by 'Football Talent Scout - Jacek Kulig' on Twitter and many Arsenal fans have been reacting to talk of Guendouzi's performance on social media.

And some have even suggested that Arsenal, despite their resurgence of late following a disappointing start, should recall the youngster who is celebrating both a goal and the fact he and his partner are expecting a baby.

Here's what a selection of fans have had to say.

Guendouzi has made nine appearances so far for Hertha this season, starting eight, scoring two and assisting one with Hertha currently 12th in the Bundesliga table.

Last season, the French midfielder made 24 league appearances, starting 19 games but he was left out of all the last eight games following that fallout with Arteta.
