'We need to stop helping Arsenal' - Chelsea fans say the same thing as Jorginho linked with exit

Chelsea's London rivals Arsenal are weighing up a move for central-midfielder Jorginho.

That is according to Sky Sports, who claim that the Gunners are interested in signing the Italy international in an effort to solve their central-midfield problems.

Throughout this summer's transfer window the Gunners have been closely linked with two midfielders in an attempt to strengthen their options for the engine room - both Thomas Partey of Atletico Madrid and Lyon's Houssem Aouar.

Partey would add a sense of steel and determination to the Gunners' midfield whilst Aouar, who is considered as one of the most promising youngsters in European football, would add flair and creativity.

Jorginho, on the other hand, would add a bit of both to the Arsenal midfield if they were to sign him, with him capable of breaking up play and keeping the back-line in check, as well as picking a pass to instigate attacks.

The Italian midfielder has been heavily linked with leaving the club this summer, with Frank Lampard - the Chelsea head coach - still keen on signing West Ham United's Declan Rice. It is believed that Jorginho is seen as a player that could be someone who could bring in substantial funds to try and fund a move for Rice.

Prior to former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri's sacking at Juventus, it appeared as though the midfielder, who missed a penalty in the Blues' 2-0 defeat to Liverpool last Sunday afternoon, would have returned to Italy to link up with his former manager once again.

Now, though, Jorginho could be presented with the chance to remain in England if Arsenal pursue a move for the midfielder and make Chelsea an offer that they are willing to accept.

Though the reports linking Jorginho with a move to the Emirates Stadium are nothing more than claims at this moment in time, Chelsea's supporters have soon flooded social media with their take on the story.

And it is fair to say that a fair share of them are sharing the exact same opinion, with them pointing out the prospect of yet another Chelsea player swapping West London for North London once again.

Here is a close look at what Chelsea's fans have had to say on Twitter...
