'We need to drive on together' - Neal Ardley's passionate address as Notts County chase glory

Neal Ardley wants Notts County to “drive on together” for the final 12 games of the season and says his players are “giving it everything” in their pursuit of glory.

The Magpies could rise up to fifth in the National League on Tuesday night if they can overcome AFC Fylde as they look to take another step to claiming  a playoff place.

Notts will be looking for a response from their 2-0 defeat at Hartlepool on Saturday in  a performance that fell well below their normal standard.

But with the playoffs and the FA Trophy still very much in their grasp, Magpies boss Ardley says there is everything to play for as they approach the home straight.

“These boys have lost just two in the last 14 games,” he said.

“We’ve got 12 games left, we need to stick and drive on together and try to make something happen.

“We are not the best team in the league as some people say, we are a decent team who play good stuff at times.

“But I think people just say that because we are Notts County.

“However, we are having a go and we are giving it everything.”
