Reports claiming that Antonio Rudiger has suffered an injury setback has not gone down well among Chelsea supporters.
It has been a frustrating start to the season for the German international to say the very least.
He missed the opening five games due to the knee problem sustained in the Blues' 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford towards the end of the 2018/2019 campaign.
That was was the injury which also caused him to sit out the Europa League final win over Arsenal back in May.
Although Rudiger did make his long-awaited return to first-team action after the first international break against Wolves. However, the 5-2 win was slightly marred with the centre-back limping off at half-time.
And he's not made an appearance since.
Last week Blues head coach Frank Lampard delivered a worrying update in regards to Rudiger's fitness following claims from the defender that he was fit again.
"No, he's not fit," Lampard said. "I saw the quotes. There was a miscommunication somewhere. He's not fit and will be seeing a consultant on Monday.
"It's an ongoing issue with his pelvic area which is bothering him. I was surprised with the quotes. It's a miscommunication. He's not there."
Now the Daily Express claim that Rudiger will be out of action for a further month.
The report states that when the defender saw a specialist on Monday, it was decided that surgery was the best idea in a bid to sort out the problem.
As expected, there has been a massive reaction from Chelsea fans on Twitter...
