'We need him!' - Some Spurs fans demand one player starts vs Watford after international return

He may not have featured for Spurs yet this season, but Juan Foyth has been in action for Argentina over the international break.

Foyth has only recently come back from an ankle injury, which ruled him out at the start of the season, but he has been chosen to start both of Argentina's friendlies over the international break.

The Spurs defender got his first minutes of the season as he played the full 90 in Argentina's 2-2 draw in Germany on Wednesday, starting as the team's right-back before switching to the right side of a back three.

Foyth then started again as right-back yesterday (Sunday) as Argentina swept past Ecuador in Alicante, Spain.

Argentina raced into a 3-0 half-time lead and the young defender played 77 minutes as his side ended up winning 6-1.

After the game, Foyth posted a positive message on social media ahead of his return to Hotspur Way this week as Tottenham continue preparations for their next Premier League game against Watford.

And his return has got some Spurs fans talking, with the 21-year-old seen as a contender to play at right-back for Tottenham, having featured for Mauricio Pochettino's men at full-back at times last season and in pre-season, prior to his injury.

No Spurs player has cemented their place at right-back this season following the departure of Kieran Trippier, who left the club to join Atletico Madrid in the summer.

Premier League 2019/20 October fixtures

Kyle Walker-Peters and Serge Aurier have both featured at right-back this season for Spurs, while midfielder Moussa Sissoko played out of position at full-back after Aurier was sent off against Southampton, with the Frenchman continuing at right-back against Brighton in Tottenham's last Premier League fixture.

But ahead of facing the Premier League's bottom side at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend, some Spurs fans are calling for Foyth to be given a chance against the Hornets.

Here's what some Tottenham fans have been saying about Foyth on social media.
