We'll take our game to the French

As rugby fans enjoy the excitement of the Six Nations tournament, wild weather isn’t stopping the Scottish team battle through the elements of each round.

And on March 7, the Scotland Women take on France at Scotstoun, Glasgow.

Under the leadership of Scotland head coach Philip Doyle and assistant coach Bryan Easson, the team is focused and set to take on their continental rivals.

After the postponement of the Scotland vs Italy due to fears of the Coronovirus outbreak in the north-west of the country, the Scotland team is gearing up for the match against France, with the Italy game set to be played imminently.

Head coach Doyle is clear with his motivation for the players, urging them to concentrate on "playing their own style of rugby" to achieve the best results.

He said: "For us, it’s a matter of playing our type of rugby against the team. It’s great being back at Scotstoun and I hope all of our fans will get behind us for what is sure to be an exciting display of rugby."

With an historic winning tour to South Africa and two home autumn tests already under its belt, the Scotland squad is now building up to September’s qualification tournament for the 2021 Rugby World Cup.

Meanwhile, GB 7s Women’s head coach Scott Forrest has announced the extended squad who will compete for a place in the final squad for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

It includes Scots Megan Gaffney, Rhona Lloyd, Helen Nelson, Chloe Rollie, Hannah Smith and Lisa Thomson.

You can watch all the exciting action as they take on France, with tickets costing £15 for adults and £5 for under-18s, while kids under 12 can get in for only £1 if accompanied by a paying adult.
