We’ll see how much action Vikings RB Dalvin Cook gets in preseason

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook did not play in the team’s Week 1 preseason game against the Saints in New Orleans.

Keeping Cook out was strictly precautionary.

With three more preseason games left, how much will we see Cook?

“I think that’s up to Coach [Mike] Zimmer,” Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski said on Monday. “We’ll talk about that. I think we’re getting a ton of great work out here. Kennedy Polomalu puts those guys through the paces in their individual period, and that’s something that coach and I will discuss.”

Cook has missed 17 of 32 games in his career due to a torn ACL in 2017 and a hamstring injury last season.

You’d like to see Cook get some carries in preseason so he doesn’t go into the season rusty, but Stefanski doesn’t seem worried about that as Cook is getting plenty of work in during practice.

Cook’s next chance to play is on Sunday night at home against the Seattle Seahawks.
