'We just want it to stop' - Memorial to motorbike crash victim Rhys Campbell trashed repeatedly

The outraged family of a young man who died in a motorcycle crash in East Lothian say a memorial garden to him is being repeatedly vandalised.

Rhys Campbell died in April this year after his motorcycle collided with a car near Seton Sands holiday park.

A memorial garden and bench were set up next to the scene of the accident, paying tribute to the 21-year-old from Tranent.

However Rhys' family have found that flowers and log fencing around the site were taken on several occasions earlier this month.

His aunt Darlene Couch told Edinburgh Live: "We just want them to stop as it's very upsetting for us all."

She posted on Facebook, calling on whoever was responsible to stop the vandalism.

Darlene said: "It's shocking that someone can be so callous.

"My nephew Rhys Campbell tragically died in the easter weekend motorbike crash at Port Seton and our family have set up a memorial bench and small garden.

"Someone has been ripping out plants, stealing plant pots and wrecking it in general.

"I want this person caught. My mum and sister have spent a fortune lovingly caring for this."
