Easter is less than a month away but chocolate eggs have been in supermarkets since the New Year.
The national chains are locked into a price war to tempt us with discount on their Easter egg selections.
Liverpool Echo has taken a look at the prices of eight different 'luxury' style eggs at the big four supermarkets and bargains stores such as B&M to find the cheapest.
Not every store we looked sold every one of the eight eggs, so if we haven't given the price for one at any of the stores below it means at the time of publication it was not available from that particular retailer.
