Vandals have scrawled threatening messages across a Tory MP's constituency office door, warning him "we have you in our sights".

Alberto Costa, MP for South Leicestershire, tweeted images of the messages on Tuesday, saying he was "hugely disappointed" to discover the vandalism.

The front of the office had been covered with stickers showing the word "Disobey" and a logo that has previously been linked to Anonymous, a group of anti-Government protesters.

A message was written on a piece of paper stuck to the building.

Threatening messages were also scrawled in chalk across the floor (Alberto Costa)

It read: "Final warning to the UK Government.

"We are watching, we have you all in our sights, we are reading and listening to your every move, we have all information on all....Why?... We are Anonymous. Expect us!"

Chalk messages saying "criminals work here" and "shut down the system" were also written on the floor.

Mr Costa wrote alongside images of the office: "Hugely disappointed to see my constituency office vandalised last night - it’s wholly unacceptable to try to intimidate me, my staff or anyone else.

"My office’s purpose is help to my constituents in a safe, secure environment - I will not let this mindless act affect this."
