"We have clear ideas" - Juventus chief speaks out on Maurizio Sarri replacing Max Allegri

Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved has commented on speculation linking Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri as a possible replacement for Massimiliano Allegri.

It was confirmed last Friday that the Italian - despite having a year remaining on his contract - will leave the Serie A champions following the conclusion of their domestic season.

Where the 51-year-old goes next still remains to be seen, but a number of Blues supporters made their thoughts clear on Twitter , believing Allegri could well be heading to Stamford Bridge this summer

Ex-Chelsea ace reveals what the Blues are lacking to win major trophies under Maurizio Sarri

Ironically, the current Chelsea head coach Sarri - along with Lazio's Simeone Inzaghi - has been touted as Allegri's successor, although Nedved insists no contact has been made with either person.

"I must immediately clarify something that made a fuss: I was not at Max's conference for reasons of work that I could not postpone," Nedved told Sky Sport, as per Calciomercato. "I was sorry. We have to make decisions and we have made it.

"Once a cycle is finished in a natural way, there is no real reason to keep it going. A very important cycle has ended, this cycle will never be repeated here. Max was immense, he won 11 trophies and won almost everything he was asked to.

"Congratulations to him and to the staff, even to Barzagli. It's their night.

"Inzaghi or Sarri? Assessments in progress, we are not in a hurry. It will not be easy, we know that this cycle will not be repeated. It will be even more difficult. There has not yet been a choice?

"So far we evaluated Max, we have not contacted other coaches. We have clear ideas, but nothing has been done yet."

Despite guiding the Blues to third place in the Premier League and to the finals of the Europa League and the Carabao Cup, speculation surrounding Sarri's future in west London remains even though he was only appointed last summer.
