'We had to dig deep' admits Nottingham Forest star John Bostock

Nottingham Forest had to dig deep into their reserves of character to earn a point at Charlton Athletic.

That’s according to midfielder John Bostock, who came off the bench just after the hour mark to make his Championship debut and help Sabri Lamouchi’s side come from behind to take a point.

Forest were torn to shreds by Lee Bowyer’s Addicks in the opening exchanges, and the home side could have opened the scoring in the first five minutes, but for a fine save onto the post from Aro Muric.

Charlton’s dominance and enterprising play was rewarded 18 minutes in when Lyle Taylor glanced in at the near post at the end of a flowing move.

Forest, though, were far better in the second half and leveled when Albert Adomah crashed in after Charlton had failed to deal with a corner, right in front of the travelling supporters amassed in the Jimmy Seed stand behind the goal.

“We had to dig deep for the point last night,” said Bostock on social media. “A big thank you to all our travelling fans, your support was unreal.

“Let’s keep pushing.”
