We don't have to produce kids that we should get married to each other, says Ressham Tipnis on her relationship with Sandesh Kirtikar

Actress Ressham Tipnis, who is essaying the role of Dwarkabai in the epic period drama Punyashlok Ahilyabai, says she like playing negative roles on screen. "I have mostly done comedy but I personally like playing grey characters on screen as then there are many variations for an actor. However, the most difficult job for an actor is to make someone laugh. Sometimes if it doesn't go right, people might say ki kya pagalpan kar rahi hai yeh," she shared.

However, the Campus actress feels that comedy has changed a lot over the years. "Earlier, comedy was very pure and situational. I have not done any below-the-belt comedy. It is not necessary to hit below the belt to make people laugh. Take for example the case of Mr Bean, he doesn't utter a word and still has people in splits, or even the example of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, it has intelligent humour which makes people laugh. I like such stuff in the comedy genre. Unfortunately, such shows are rare these days. Bellow the belt is so easy to do for anyone, the real comedy is making people laugh through situational comedy."

The Tu Tu Main Main actress, who was earlier married to actor Sanjeev Seth, and has two children Manav and Rishika together, is now happy in a relationship with Sandesh Kirtikar. "This is my seventh year with Sandesh and we are almost in a live-in relationship, though you can't completely call it a live-in. His house is within walking distance from my house and now both my kids are grown up and busy in their lives working. So kabhi main idhar rehti hoon kabhi udhar rehti hoon. As far as marriage is concerned, I will be frank, aisi koi itchha nahi hai shaadi karne ki. We both are not in a hurry to get married. The only change that will happen post marriage is that gale mein mangal sutra pad jayega, rest everything will remain the same for us. We don't have to produce kids that we should get married to each other. Everything is going smoothly between us and I don't want to spoil it by getting married," she shared.
