Manchester United have endured a turbulent start to the season and further feelings came afoot after Saturday's goalless draw against Chelsea.
Among those in the starting line-up was Daniel James, who has struggled for consistency after a blistering start to life at Old Trafford.
The Wales international has not had a direct contribution to a Premier League goal since December and has attracted plenty of criticism as a result.
In the goalless draw with Chelsea, James was selected ahead of summer signing Donny Van de Beek - a decision many fans were not happy about.
Following the match, some fans took to social media to discuss what they believe the best plan of action for the 22-year-old would be - with many suggesting a loan.
Some, however, were unhappy with the overall situation and believe that James should have joined Leeds United ahead of moving to Old Trafford.
During his time with Swansea City, James infamously saw a proposed transfer to Elland Road collapse on the deadline day of January 2019.
James was also linked with a move to Leeds during the most recent summer transfer window, with it suggested a loan deal could be on the cards.
However, Leeds have signed Raphinha from Rennes to bolster their right flank and have high hopes for the Brazilian in the Premier League, not least after seeing him net his first goal in a Leeds shirt during an excellent performance in Sunday's under-23s win over Norwich City.
