'We could be the next Leeds United' - Arsenal fan fumes with Whites rant

An Arsenal supporter has revealed he believes the Gunners could be 'the next Leeds United,' hinting the three-time Premier League winners could be relegated from the top-flight this season.

Appearing on Arsenal Fan TV on YouTube, following the Gunners' 2-1 home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday night, the passionate supporter likened the Londoners' current form to the relegation Leeds suffered from the Premier League back in 2004, revealing Arsenal could follow in United's footsteps of proving you are never too good to fall through the dreaded trap door.

The reverse to Graham Potter's Seagulls stretched Arsenal's winless run to 10 matches in all competitions, despite pulling the trigger on former manager Unai Emery last week.

The latest defeat in this wretched run of form has left Arsenal, who are yet to appoint Emery's successor, just five points above the relegation zone.

Clearly angered by the current situation at the Emirates Stadium, the Arsenal fan, who has not been named, said: "Do you remember Leeds United? We could be the next Leeds United.

"You are never too good to go down, do you understand? That team that went down was not a team that you thought would have got relegated.

"Look at the players they had in that team - Viduka was their main man there.

"We've got Aubameyang. If you compare that team, it is probably the same as this team.

"We are in a relegation scrap."

Leeds, of course, will get the chance to try and inflict even more misery on Arsenal next month when the two sides go head-to-head in the third round of the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium.

It will be the Whites' third visit to the Emirates for an FA Cup tie, with the previous two meetings ending 1-1 and 1-0 to Arsenal respectively.
