'We consistently press the self-destruct button' - Nottingham Forest fans fury at 3-0 Sheffield Wednesday defeat

For the second away game on the trot, and the second successive one in south Yorkshire, Nottingham Forest were beaten on the road.

Their woeful run of away form continued on Tuesday night, being well beaten by Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

Despite a better first half display, Martin O’Neill’s Reds were undone by three second half strikes from Wednesday, which saw Forest’s dismal away record now stand at 10 wins for their last 67 trips away from the City Ground, with their last victory coming at Hull under Aitor Karanka in late November.

It’s also no win in his seven away trips for O’Neill, who came under fire from some supporters in the aftermath of yet another disappointing result.

If Saturday’s reverse at struggling Rotherham dealt a severe blow to any lingering play-off hopes, then this crushing will have put a final nail in the coffin.

Understandably frustrated at what they watched in Sheffield, Reds fans were quick to make their feelings known.
