We compared autumn door wreathes from B&M, The Range, Amazon and the cheapest 'looked expensive'

We're now into autumn and the shops are full of colourful items to give your home a cosy feel as the weather turns cooler.

In recent years, autumn door wreaths have become a popular purchase and you don't have to spend a fortune to create a warm welcome for visitors. They're often decorated with orange, gold and bronze foliage, plump berries and even miniature pumpkins, in a nod to the new season.

Autumn wreathes make a great addition to your front door and are perfect for those who are already itching to get the Christmas decorations out but need to wait that little bit longer. While you can spend a fortune on a handmade wreath, you can also pick them up fairly cheaply on the high street, but what is the quality like?

This week, we've been taking a look at autumn wreathes from stores including B&M, The Range, Amazon and xxxx to see how they compare. Here's our verdict:

Amazon Autumn Wreath Front Door With Hanger, £20.79

I've had a Christmas wreath before but never one for autumn. I absolutely love this time of year when it gets all cosy and I'm always looking for ways to make my home feel that bit more snug as the nights draw in.

With the cost of living rising I didn't exactly want to spend a fortune on an autumn door wreath, so I was pleased when I spotted this Mokani Autumn Door Wreath on Amazon for £20, and it included its own metal hanger. I have one of those big composite doors, so I didn't want to start banging a nail into it and this hanger fits easily up and over the top of the door so it was really handy to have this included in the price, rather than having to buy separately.

Now onto the wreath. I have to admit, when I opened the box I was a little disappointed at how plastic it looked. It features several small pumpkins and squashes for that autumn harvest feel, but they reminded me of the toy food my children have in their play kitchen.

On a positive note, I loved the abundance of berries, pine cones and burnt orange and yellow leaves. Overall the colour was really vibrant and looked great against my dark blue door.

Once it was hung in place, I have to admit, the 'plastic' look was less apparent and I was really pleased with the overall appearance. It's a really decent size too, so it fills the space well rather than looking dainty on the door. Time will tell how durable it is, but it's already stood up to a very blustery and wet few days, so I've got high hopes it will see me through the season until it's time to get my door ready for Christmas.

B&M Harvest Wreath, £15

There's no better time of year that autumn. It's that time of year when you can officially pack your summer wardrobe away and get back in your cosy, chunky jumpers and warm coats and there's nothing better in the world in my opinion.

I tend to reflect the time of year in how I decorate my home, surrounding myself with bright colours during the summer and leaning more towards warm neutrals in autumn - and don't even get me started on Christmas. Last year I picked up an autumn wreath in B&M for £15 and this month I took it out of storage to adorn my front door again.

The wreath is wide and has a bit of weight to it, so I was pleased to find it quite sturdy - always a bonus - which meant I could put it away and use it again each year. It features dried leaves, sprigs and branches, in a range of stunning autumnal browns and oranges.

The silky feel of the smaller leaves and the sheer size of the wreath for its price are what sold me completely on it. Some can be a bit too plastic and look cheap, but this B&M one managed to look and feel more expensive than it was. I picked up an over-door wreath hanger for around £2 at the same time to fix it in place too.

I love the look of the wreath and it puts a big smile on my face every time I spot it on the front door.

The Range Autumn Wreath, £39.99

I absolutely love wreaths. It doesn't need to be Christmas for me to hang one on my door, I basically have different wreaths all year round.

I even had a wreath during spring time just add a bit of pizzazz to my front door and I absolutely loved it. The best season of all though is autumn, and I was so excited to grab myself a gorgeous autumn wreath to hang on my door to get me into the autumnal spirit.

I'd looked around for a wreath in a few shops but couldn't really find anything that stood out. That was until I visited my local The Range and came across this beast of an autumn wreath.

The 'pumpkin wreath' currently isn't available online, but I was lucky enough to nab the last one on the shelf and I'm over the mon with it. Firstly, this wreath is absolutely massive, so I can understand why it's priced at £40 as opposed to the previous wreaths mentioned for £20ish.

I can spot this wreath on my door from a mile off because of its sheer size and gorgeous vibrant colours. It features pumpkins, acorns, yellow sunflowers, red berries and leaves - everything I love about autumn.

If you're after an absolute showstopper of an autumn wreath, you need to head to your local range as soon as possible because I have a feeling these are selling very fast. Let's just say I wish I could keep this wreath up all year round, because I'm in love with its aesthetic.
