An eight-year-old boy who is "obsessed" with animals has fundraised £400 for Manchester & Cheshire Dogs' Home.
Harley Wright, 8, from Stockport, encouraged friends, family, neighbours and supporters on social media to donate spare change and dog products to his fundraiser.
This is the second year that Harley has appealed for donations for dogs.

Last November, he raised £1,223.04 for the Harpurhey branch of the dogs' home.
He was inspired to do something to help dogs after seeing his mum collect donations for a homeless shelter in Stockport last year.
"Harley is absolutely obsessed with any animal at all, " explained proud mum Tilly Forth.

"We call h im our own li ttle Dr Dolittle.
“He is so in love with animals and he would have every single one of them if he could.
"He has three dogs of his own and i t just breaks his heart to see dogs without a home, so he just wanted to help and give them a nice Christmas."

Last year, Harley's appeal for donations for dogs went so well, that he was excited to do it again this year.
Tilly continued: " We were actually inundated with donations last year. We filled four cars.

"It was a countdown to get to November again and as soon as we hit November, Harley wanted to do it all again.

"So we did the same thing for Cheshire Dogs' Home.
"The thought of any animal not having a home doesn't sit well with Harley."

Donations of dog food, treats, beds and blankets began pouring in from supporters.
Harley and Tilly were particularly pleased with the amount of donations from people on Facebook who came across the fundraiser and wanted to help.
They also went into local supermarkets and asked the community champions for donations.
A local Sainsbury's store gave Harley £30 to pick out a selection of dog products and treats.

Tilly added: "Everything you could need for dogs, Harley has managed to collect it up.
"He wrote letters to local businesses and neighbours.

"He put a lot of work into it himself.
"He really loved going to the dogs' home and meeting the dogs."

"T he collection this year was fantastic," said Harley, who has a pet chihuahua named Simba.
"We filled a whole car.
" I want to help the dogs' home because I love dogs and they don’t have a home.
" Dogs are my favourite animal because they’re fluffy and cute."

And the dogs' home has thanked Harley for his generosity.
Anna Stansfield, manager at Cheshire Dogs' Home, praised Harley's "thoughtful" gesture.
She told the M.E.N.: " Harley has very kindly raised £400 and then he brought a massive trolley full of dog treats that got donated, as well.
"It’s remarkable. He is a young lad and he is thinking of the dogs that are in our care.

"And that £400, medically, really helps the dogs.
"We can vaccinate the dogs in our care. We can treat skin problems and allergies.

"The fact that Harley could be doing other stuff for himself, but he chooses to spend his time collecting and donating to the dogs' home, I think it's lovely!"

Manchester & Cheshire Dogs' Home takes in and cares for over 7,000 dogs every year, many of which are never reclaimed by their owners.
