Manchester City fans vented yet more anger at UEFA after it was announced the Champions League last-16 draw would have to be redone.
The original draw took place in Nyon on Monday morning, with City being paired with Spanish side Villarreal, but was declared null and void after a mix-up.
Manchester United were accidentally drawn to play against Villarreal first, with the two sides unable to face each other after being in the same group.
Footage then appeared to show United’s ball was not included among the possible opponents for Atletico Madrid, with the Liga side going on to be drawn with Bayern Munich.
United went on to be drawn with Paris Saint-Germain, while fellow English sides Chelsea were paired with Lille and Liverpool with RB Salzburg.
That draw has now been made null and void though, with a second draw set to take place at 2pm GMT.
A statement from UEFA said: "Following a technical problem with the software of an external service provider that instructs the officials as to which teams are eligible to play each other, a material error occurred in the draw."
City’s relationship with UEFA has always been fractured, and having been handed a favourable tie in the last-16, fans weren’t too happy to learn the draw would have to be redone.
Having finished as one of the group winners, City will be paired with one of the group runners-up when the draw is made for the second time.
There are six possible opponents for Pep Guardiola’s side, with City unable to face either PSG, having played in the same group, or Chelsea, with teams from the same country being kept apart for now.
Instead, they’ll be drawn against one of Inter Milan, RB Salzburg, Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, Atletico Madrid or Villarreal.
